The Procession of Pettyland Cards Continues...

A few new. A few old in the new format. A lot more coming. Also have been working on game balance a lot lately. Playtesting soon.

 

New Pettyland card design and ART SUPPLIES

So I finally got around to doing a real pass on the card designs. I was always unhappy with the old design. I wanted something a bit more hand-drawn, messy, more '80's, and a touch punk-rock. Like this new card:

 

And here's the card back design. I was aiming for "80's radiation symbol", since the genesis of this myopic game was the nuclear crisis of the '80's and my perpetual insomnia that resulted. Made with spattered and blown ink!

Another Pettyland illustration. I think I'm about to start getting into the cards that are in "bad taste" section of the game. My excuse is that I was only 18 when I designed this game. And it was the 80's. Always the 80's.

I've decided to stick with the 2"x2" format, because otherwise the board would be huge. For the moment, I'm sticking with the AC/DC card theme. Here are a few more card illustrations. Also worth noting is that the "Mangeboy" companion card (sorry, Jordan) below is a genderless companion, which is to say, he is both male and female. In addition to being rather humorous, this has specific gameplay implications. I decided to use the transgender symbol to indicate that (since I'm using the male and female symbols on the more more standard genders).
